There’s nothing better than working with friends especially when they have the same love for scent as we do! That’s why we’re so excited to announce our scent-sational collaboration with The Naked Candle Company! When Emma & David approached us for a *very* special sweet-smelling collaboration that cleverly merged the passion we have for our businesses, we knew this would be a blooming good partnership!

So we teamed up to create our very own beautiful candle! Let us introduce you to The Florist!

This one-of-a-kind scent allows you to enjoy the unique floral aromas of The Flower Lounge in your own home! It’s our very own signature scent, that cleverly recreates the unique combination of smells from our freshly cut stems, lush greenery and beautiful blooms in store. It’s utterly divine - even if we say so ourselves!

The Floral Backstory

I first met David and his fiancée Emma in 2019 when they came into The Flower Lounge for their wedding flowers. They fell in love with The Flower Lounge vibe, and I fell in love with their passion for scents! When the couple became the owners of The Naked Candle Company, I immediately knew their passion would be a total sensory success. As candle-makers, they create the most stunning room-filling fragrances made from sustainable soy wax candles that burn ‘clean,’ leaving you with a naked jar – hence the name! This family run Manchester business is brimming with personality and enthusiasm, and we were thrilled to add their stunning candles to our carefully curated collection of gifts in store.

It’s no secret I love a candle! Candles and flowers go together perfectly. From their shared ability to create an atmosphere to filling rooms with soft sweet-smelling scents, they are brilliant mood boosting, soul soothing addition to any space. As a regular customer, David had often commented on the unique combination of stunning smells he encountered when he visited The Flower Lounge. When they approached me with the idea to capture the aroma of our store as a unique candle scent, we jumped at the chance!

The Florist Candle – All the Sweet-Smelling Details

Creating our own floral fragrance has been an amazing experience. It’s taken months to get the scent ‘just right’ so that it really evokes the aroma in store and transports you to the heart of our bustling shop, bursting with blooms and intoxicating aromas.

The Florist is an aromatic harmony of scents. Using top notes of fresh aldehydes, cool eucalyptus and soft fruity aromas such as peach, rhubarb and apple to entice you, it then draws you to its heart with fragrances of light breezy green muguet, soft sweet-smelling peony and exotic ylang mid notes. Supported by a background of rich base notes like earthy patchouli and warm woody musk, it’s a fresh yet complex scent that is charming and chic.

At The Flower Lounge, we know flowers and the beautiful scents they release as well as understanding the various ways to get textures and depth from an arrangement. Working with The Naked Candle Company on The Florist was like building the perfect everlasting sweet-smelling bouquet. David & Emma expertly translated the vast array of beautiful scents that create our rich floral fragrance in store and beautifully captured it in a candle to enjoy all year long!

The Florist really is a floral symphony of scents inspired by our surroundings, filled with love, attention to detail and passion!
