Meet the Team

Sian - Siân is always pushing for creative excellence, which has won her multiple industry awards, including British Florist Association’s Florist Shop of the Year 2018, and enabled her to achieve a place on the expert panel for the Good Florist Guide. Still pinching herself after opening the shop in 2009, Siân loves getting hands on and struggles to park behind a computer, preferring to be up front and snipping! You’ll often find her chatting away to customers, fascinated by the emotional connection people have with flowers and scent. Her favourite flower is a Hydrangea.

Emma- An experienced florist and a bit of a comedian (or so she thinks!). She loves bold and funky colours which is why our Citrus hand-tied is her favourite, but when it comes to her preferred flower she won’t be pinned down! Emma’s claim to fame? She once created an arrangement for The Queen! So you’re in very good hands.

Steve- Having worked for many years in retail, his skills are invaluable to the shop, although it can be hard to keep him inside as he loves the experience of delivering flowers and seeing the look of joy on people’s faces! His favourite bouquet is the vintage hand-tie because it always brings ‘oohs’ and ‘aahhs’ when he delivers them. And, like most men, he loves his trainers, so much so that King Protea is his favourite flower because it; “feels like suede Adidas”.

Hayley – Enjoys variety and tackling new projects. She can turn her hand to anything but secretly loves the classic style of our vintage hand-tie and using her favourite flower, the Peony, in her arrangements.  When she’s not snipping, pruning and creating, she’s collecting handbags!

Mark – Our talented freelance florist and flower demonstrator, Mark is the only member of the team to say winter is his favourite season as it gives him a chance to use his favourite flower; the Amaryllis. He likes new challenges, which explains why as well as being a florist he is also a qualified wig-maker!

Charlie – (Bear) the Flower Lounge’s black Labrador. His favourite season is autumn – lots of leaves and sticks to explore - and his favourite job is showing customers his blanket. He doesn't get paid in money but in cuddles, tickles and toys.
