Simple and stylish funeral flowers

Flowers bring so much joy to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and other special events and perhaps unexpectedly, this includes funerals too. I see floral tributes as a beautiful way to celebrate someone’s life and work closely with families to ensure they are a fitting mark of respect to the character, personality and life of those recently departed. Whether it’s by incorporating a favourite bloom or colour palette; flowers and fragrance have a special way of evoking memories that can really help families during difficult times.

We have recently updated our funeral range to reflect the demand from our customers for funeral arrangements that are elegant, modern and creative – less of the traditional and more of the wow. We believe sympathy flowers and funeral arrangements can be as abundant and joyous as the bouquets and displays we create for celebrations, so you will now see a paired down range, but a selection of truly glorious sprays, sheafs, wreaths and posies. This range is available to browse and buy online, with options for different colour choices, making the process of organising flowers much easier at this understandably difficult and busy time.

For those looking for very bespoke designs, we recommend you coming into the shop and discuss your requirements with us. We can accommodate requests for specific flowers (with notice and if in season), help you decide what you need and look at different ways flowers can be incorporated into your service and perhaps the wake afterwards.

Whichever service you choose, here is our short guide to the key funeral and sympathy designs and where they can be used:

Coffin Sprays

Coffin Sprays, also known as Funeral Sprays or Casket Sprays, are typically laid on top of the coffin. They can be single-ended, creating a teardrop shape or double-ended with an arch of abundant flowers.

Floral wreaths

Floral wreaths are probably the best known of funeral and sympathy tributes. Their ornate circular design is extremely versatile.

Special tributes

Special tributes can come in all shapes and sizes. Our Heart design is a classic symbol of love.

Funeral flowers also have the ability to act as tokens of remembrance beyond the funeral itself. Many family members will display flowers around their home, which act as points of discussion and remembrance when family and friends visit to pay their condolences. Arrangements can also be gifted to extended family members as a way to remember their loved one or as a note of appreciation.

Hand tied sheafs

Hand tied sheafs are ideal for sending direct to a funeral to add to the floral tributes and service displays. As a hand-tied arrangement, they can also be sent to a home address after a funeral as an alternative to a traditional bouquet.

We offer a wide range of sympathy flowers in various colours and sizes, including plants.

Charities are often grateful for a donation of flowers and this would be especially poignant if the family had a personal connection with a charity. And, knowing that the flowers have lifted the spirits of those in an unfortunate situation, can be a welcome reason to smile. To make your flowers and memories last even longer, we love the work of the Ceramic Botanist. Louise is an amazing artist and has worked with our customers to create an eternal keepsake using a favourite flower in her designs.

We understand that planning a funeral, even for a life being celebrated, can be overwhelming. If you’re looking for a helping hand to support you in choosing the right tribute, our compassionate and skilled florists will do their utmost to provide you with thoughtful and beautiful displays.

We have lots of information available on our website so please take a look and get in touch if we can help.
