All You Need Is Love

This time last year, we were celebrating Valentine’s day in a very different style to how we’ll be celebrating this year ?

Thanks to lockdown and social restrictions, many of the usual gifts or romantic activities are off the table…no restaurant candlelit dinner for two, or romantic trip to the cinema, or even a last-minute dash to get something slinky from an upmarket lingerie store.

However, these restrictions don’t mean you should give up on romance all together. Now, more than ever, it’s so important to make people feel special and appreciated. A quite famous fab four once said ‘All You Need is Love’, and we’d like to add, plus a little imagination. So here’s a few sweet and simple romantic gestures we think they’ll love this Valentine’s Day…

Dine in…in style

Forget bunging a pizza in the oven, show you care by ordering a delicious, restaurant meal that can be delivered directly to your home. The extremely yummy Hispi in Didsbury are offering just this, and you can even order wine that is perfectly matched to your food.

Don’t forget to add some ambience to the dining table…candles, the fancy cutlery and of course, the ubiquitous dozen red roses. We’ve given this classic Valentine’s bouquet a 2021 makeover, adding an abundance of luscious, sweet smelling, seasonal foliage.

Breakfast in bed, kisses for me…

Make their day, right from the get-go, with a special breakfast in bed courtesy of our Luxury Breakfast in Bed Bundle. This is a great option to involve the kids too!

The sweet selection includes delicious fresh pastries and preserves, a luxury bottle of champagne with orange juice for morning mimosas and the most delicious coffee, all from artisan bakery, Bisous Bisous. Completed with a stunning finishing touch - a bouquet of romantic red roses, arranged by us in our signature style. All you need to do is convince the kids to make some thoughtful, handmade cards and your partner will be thrilled, and stuffed!

The Grand Gesture

Surely now’s the time for one, right?? With life currently a hectic hamster wheel of home schooling or working from home. Spirits having taken a nosedive because it has been such a long time since your partner has seen their friends and family. Never mind that the mundaneness of endless days stuck in the house, that are starting to send your other half around the twist. Let’s break the cycle! Surprise and delight with something BIG, something UNEXPECTED, something DECADENT…like my Valentine’s Showstopper, which comes in a pretty pink or romantic red colour palette. I promise you there isn’t a bouquet around that can compare to its size, abundance and luxury. Good luck fitting it through the door ??

Netflix and Ch…ocs!

Oooh! Cheeky! I know where your mind went then. We’re talking about settling in for a cosy night with a Netflix rom-com accompanied by some decadent chocolates. However, you’ll need to do something to set the scene, transforming your living room – we recommend twinkly fairy lights, lots of plush cushions and my Valentine’s Posy Jar and Gift Set. Not only will this mean fresh, romantic flowers presented in a beautiful glass jar that can be used again and again; you’ll be able to light the deliciously scented candle to add to your romantic atmosphere. Plus, we even include the chocolates you’ll be munching…artisanal, hand-crafted Holdsworth chocolates to be precise. Maybe the night will result in a little ‘Netflix and Chill’ after all…

Pamper Party

Make your other half feel special, spoilt and completely relaxed with a pamper session just for them. Try elevating your bathroom into a 5* spa, with a deliciously scented candle from The Naked Candle Co that will fill the room with a heavenly scent; relaxing, organic bath salts from Francesca Giomarelli that will do wonders for the skin; and decadent chocolates, because everyone needs a snack in the bath! All available as add-ons to the perfect finishing touch…our limited edition, specially created Just PeachyValentine’s bouquet to stare at. Utter, utter bliss!
