Frequently Asked Questions 

Day to day we get asked a number of the same questions about choosing flowers and so we thought it might be helpful to list a few here. We love chatting to our customers but understand that many of you like to be prepared before placing an order. So here goes:

How are you ensuring deliveries are socially distanced & safe?

Our delivery driver will ensure all deliveries arrive at their intended address using contactless delivery. The driver will ring the bell/knock and then place the item on the floor outside the door. They will then move 2m away from the door. Once the package has been collected and the care instructions given, the delivery driver will leave. No items will be left on doorsteps, we will ensure every delivery is seen safely through the door.

Can I visit The Flower Lounge shop?

Yes. The Flower Lounge is open for business but with some social distancing measures in place to keep everyone safe. We kindly ask customers to sanitise their hands on arrival, wear a face mask and keep browsing to just 3 people at a time.

If you are feeling unwell or displaying any Covid-19 symptoms (a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or the loss of taste and smell) we ask that you do not visit the shop.

How does click and collect work?

When you check out, select your date and choose 'store collection' from the drop down menu. Once you've placed your order, we will call you to agree a time slot for collection. When collecting, give the shop a call a few minutes before or as you arrive and we'll leave your order outside, completely contactless (though obviously you’re also more than welcome to bob in, collect your order and say hello!)

Can I order a specific flower or design?

Due to current international and government restrictions on flower markets here, and around the world, there are some limitations on what flowers are available for us to order and get delivered. Please call the shop to chat through what flowers you are looking for and we will do our best to source them for you. If they aren’t available we will be able to advise on what flowers may work just as well.  

All Products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute a Product of equivalent value and quality without notice.

How will you keep me safe at a Flower Lounge Workshop?

What if I book a Christmas Wreath workshop and it has to be cancelled due to the pandemic?

We appreciate that life is unpredictable right now. If we have to cancel a workshop due to new restrictions, then we certainly won’t let you down. We still want you to have The Flower Lounge workshop experience and be able to design a Christmas door wreath you’re proud of. This is why we are creating a luxury door wreath kit that we can send out in the post to you. The kit will contain everything you need to design your wreath – from flowers and foliage to decorations and florist wire (you’ll just need scissors). We’re also including a gorgeous, scented candle from Francesca Giomarelli and some edible festive treats from Pink Cocoa. We will be hosting LIVE online demonstration sessions, so you can follow along with the other virtual attendees and ask questions. We know you’ve carved out special ‘me-time’ on this day, so we don’t want you to miss out. However, if you can’t make a LIVE session then the kit contains a full instructional video, which you can watch at a time to suit you, as well as step by step instructions.

What if I am unwell or self-isolating and can’t attend the workshop?

If you can’t attend the workshop, then you won’t miss out on your floral fix either. Please contact us and we will send you your beautiful DIY luxury wreath kit. You can watch the full instructional video and create the wreath in your own time.

I don’t know what I want! Can you help me?

Don’t feel under any pressure to know flower names or styles, we can help you work out what it is that you want or your intended recipient may like. If buying for other people, think about what colours they like or tell us about their personality. Are they a romantic? More traditional? Outdoorsy? Think about their home and décor. What’s the occasion? We can use all this information to create something to suit. If you’re really stuck, don’t worry, that’s what we’re here for.

How much should I spend?

It’s best to have a budget in mind, the best way to work this out is to think about where you or your recipient may display the flowers. A small bouquet (approx. £30-£45) would be suitable for a side table, medium (approx. £45-£65) for a coffee table and large (approx. £65-£100+) for a dining table or entrance.

What shall I write in the message?

This is obviously very personal but can fox many of our customers when put on the spot. Here are a few suggestions to get you started!

How far do you deliver?

We deliver across Greater Manchester and parts of Cheshire throughout the week and can offer limited same-day local delivery to orders placed before midday.

Is it cheaper to buy flowers that are in season?

It can be, we can advise which flowers are in season and present the best value. Our Florist Choice Hand-Tied Bouquet and Seasonal Posey Jar use flowers chosen by us, ensuring the freshest, most seasonal flowers available at the most reasonable price.

If I have a specific idea in mind, can you help?

Yes of course, we love to get creative and think there’s nothing better than delivering a bespoke arrangement. Although we do have to make sure the flowers you ask for are in season, they are available under current international and government Covid restrictions on flower markets, and you have given us enough notice to organise delivery.

Can I have my arrangement delivered with a vase?

Yes, we stock a large range of vases including a stunning range of high quality LSA products that really complement our bouquets so are more than happy to include these in your order.

How about extra gifts?

Yes, we work with luxury chocolate supplier Holdsworth, as well as stocking a beautiful range of soy wax, hand-produced candles from The Naked Candle Co. We have a large range of stunning vases and candle holders, as well as handmade cards from local calligrapher, Lucky Nibs. There are lots of ways to make your gift extra special.

What information do I need before I order?

For any order we will need the recipient’s full name and address, a contact telephone number, preferred delivery times, an idea of budget and any message you wish to include.
